"Conquering Mental Illness Together"

About Us

Mounting Hope Village, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to celebrating and encouraging individuals thriving in the midst of mental illness through scholarships and diminishing the stigma of mental illness through advocacy and education.

Per the National Alliance on Mental Illness:

  • 43.8 million adults experience mental illness in a given year.
  • Approximately 20% of youth ages 13 to 18 experience severe mental disorders in a given year and almost 50% did not seek treatment.
  • African Americans and Hispanic Americans used mental health services at about one-half the rate of whites and Asian Americans at about one-third the rate.

Many do not seek help because they feel embarrassed or ashamed of their symptoms. At Mounting Hope Village we know that by celebrating those thriving in the midst of mental illness, we are encouraging them to continue to take the necessary steps to take care of themselves and encouraging others who struggle in silence to seek help without fear of judgment.  We know we are conquering mental illness together.
